A practical example

Before sending a photo taken at home, choose the image and select Remove metadata and download. The tool redraws the visible pixels into a new file without copying original EXIF, GPS or camera fields. Keep the original separately if you use capture dates or camera settings for your archive.

What to check before downloading

Removing metadata does not hide visible faces, addresses or reflections. This tool does not provide a before-and-after metadata report. JPG and WebP exports can change quality through recompression; PNG avoids lossy encoding at this step but can be larger. Inspect the downloaded copy with a metadata viewer if you need to verify specific fields.
